Beautiful colours and sumptuously soft silk

I fell in love with silk painting when I was a child – there is something wonderfully unexpected about the way the paint interacts with the silk and I’m addicted to it.

I first painted on silk when I was around 10 years old and took it up again around 15 years ago when I really fell in love with it.

I love to experiment with different types of paints and techniques and seeing how the colour moves on the wet silk.

I use different techniques including applying sea salt to the wet silk, drawing designs with outliner and layering up paint in different patterns to create unique one off wearable art.

In this age of fast fashion, there is something truly mindful about the slow process of creating a masterpiece – anything from 8 to 30 hours depending on the complexity of design. I only make one of any design, so you can be sure it’s completely unique from any of your friends’ accessories!

Every piece of work from the largest to the smallest is hand painted individually and given the care and attention any piece of artwork deserves.
